Unfortunately, I lost both of my parlays last week to fall further into the red this year. I was able to win a leg in each of those parlays, but I lost the other leg to render both bets losers. Minnesota was able to move to 5-0 with a win over the New York Jets in London, but Pittsburgh surrendered two long drives to Dallas in the fourth quarter to lose outright. My Total Parlay of the Week lost too as Jacksonville and Indianapolis combined for 71 points, sailing over the total of 46.5. It was by far the best performance for Jacksonville’s offense and Trevor Lawrence this year.

Week 6 NFL Parlay Picks

Short Favorite Parlay of the Week

Pittsburgh Steelers -3 at Las Vegas Raiders Cincinnati Bengals -3 at New York Giants $100 to win $240.34

I’m going to back Pittsburgh again this week as the Steelers find themselves in a good spot. Yes, they have lost two games in a row, and they do have a recent history of disappointing performances against the Las Vegas Raiders, but they should be able to put together a strong performance on defense against Aidan O’Connell.

Las Vegas announced it was benching Gardner Minshew this week in favor of O’Connell. The second-round draft pick out of Purdue last year has completed 61.9% of his passes for 2,394 yards (6.4 YPA) with 13 touchdowns and eight interceptions in his career as he started several games for the Raiders last season. He ended the year on a high note with strong performances against the Los Angeles Chargers, Indianapolis Colts, and Denver Broncos, but the Steelers will be able to flummox him on offense.

As for the second play in this parlay, it’s time to really back the Cincinnati Bengals. This team is not nearly as bad as its 1-4 record indicates, and they should have been able to hold on against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5. Joe Burrow has played very well since laying an egg in Week 1 against New England, and he threw for five touchdowns last week against Baltimore. Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins had monster games too, and I expect them to move the ball with ease on the Giants defense.

One New York team fired its coach earlier this week, and the other New York team may follow suit shortly. After leading the Giants to the playoffs in his first season in 2022, the franchise has gone 8-14 over the last year and change. They are averaging just 17.8 PPG, and they have struggled in both phases of the game.

Total Parlay of the Week

Under 51.5 in Baltimore vs. WashingtonUnder 47 in Carolina vs. Atlanta

$100 to win $252.39

Jayden Daniels is now the favorite per the NFL betting odds to be named Offensive Rookie of the Year. Daniels has been sensational the last few weeks, but it’s time for the hotshot quarterback to come down to Earth a little bit. This should be the most talented defense he has faced so far this season, and Baltimore will be looking to make amends after its subpar performance on defense last week against Cincinnati. The Ravens are excellent at stopping the run, allowing 3.1 YPC and 60.4 YPG, best in the NFL in both departments, but they have surrendered gobs of yardage through the air despite having four Pro Bowlers in the secondary.

The last three games between Atlanta and Carolina have each had 40 or fewer points scored. The Falcons are due for a letdown on offense after what we have seen the last couple weeks too, while the Panthers just aren’t very explosive with Andy Dalton under center. Dalton is a solid backup, but the soon-to-be 37-year-old signal caller is no longer going to score a lot of points. Carolina is averaging just 16.6 PPG, and Dalton was awful last week against the Chicago Bears.

Atlanta has had a few extra days to rest for this game, but the offense is overrated after the explosion we saw against Tampa Bay on Thursday Night Football. The Falcons were averaging just 18.8 PPG through their first four games, so I don’t see another 36-point performance.
