I nearly won both of my Week 2 NFL Parlays and would have been well in the black as a result. As it stands, I’m currently sitting at 1-3 with a -9.2% ROI on the season after Cincinnati lost to Kansas City in the final seconds on Sunday. I took the Bengals and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in my Underdog Parlay of the Week. Tampa Bay won outright as more than a touchdown underdog per the NFL betting odds against Detroit, but Cincinnati was able to hold on against Kansas City in another close game against the two teams. That certainly stung, yet the pain was satiated by an easy win in my Total Parlay of the Week. Both the Denver/Pittsburgh game and the Jacksonville/Cleveland game sailed under the total.

Week 3 NFL Parlay Picks

Total Parlay of the Week

U44.5 in LA Rams vs. San FranciscoU49.5 in New Orleans vs. Philadelphia

$100 to win $274.28

Although the New Orleans Saints were one of the few teams to bite me last week, I still don’t believe in their offense. They have been red hot to start the season, scoring on each of their first 15 possessions with Derek Carr under center. The offensive gameplans have been great, yet there isn’t a lot of talent on this offense. We know what Carr is as a quarterback, and the offensive line is a major concern.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia offense had some real issues against Atlanta on Monday Night Football. Jalen Hurts continues to struggle with his decision making under center, and the Eagles are unlikely to have standout receiver A.J. Brown. Saquon Barkley has been a very good addition, but there are some problems with this offense.

The Los Angeles Rams got their clocks cleaned last week. They are now 0-2 on the season after getting blasted 41-10 by the Arizona Cardinals, and they are in real trouble going forward. Puka Nucua is on injured reserve, Cooper Kupp might be placed on injured reserve, and five offensive linemen are also on IR. That doesn’t bode well for the team ahead of a matchup with San Francisco.

San Francisco was upset on the road by Minnesota last week, but the Niners are one of the teams to beat in the NFC per the football betting odds. They have an elite defense, and they love to keep the ball on the ground to wear opponents down and run clock. Kyle Shanahan is likely to give the Rams a heavy dose of the ground game, so this game shouldn’t have that many plays and is likely to fall short of the total.

Public Favorite Parlay of the Week

Kansas City Chiefs -3.5 at Atlanta Falcons

Buffalo Bills -5 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

$100 to win $281.28

It’s quite likely that the Kansas City Chiefs will be the biggest public play in Week 3. Kansas City is only laying 3.5 points against an underwhelming Atlanta team that should be 0-2. The defending Super Bowl champions do tend to work through their problems over the course of the season and this is a trap game with a road tilt against the Los Angeles Chargers slated for next week, but they are significantly better than the Falcons.

Atlanta has not figured things out on either side of the ball. The Falcons had hoped that Kirk Cousins could light a fire under this offense, but both Drake London and Kyle Pitts continue to underwhelm. Bijan Robinson is the only reliable option, so Kansas City will gear up to keep him contained.

I said all offseason that Jacksonville would regret giving Trevor Lawrence a five-year, $275 million contract extension. Lawrence has been pretty underwhelming, completing just 26 of 51 passes for 382 yards with a touchdown. The top pick in the 2021 NFL Draft just doesn’t seem to pick up what he needs to at the next level, and Buffalo’s defense can take full advantage.

The Bills have an offense that can keep the chains moving. Jacksonville will be on skates for much of this game as James Cook and Josh Allen will lead the Bills to a two-score victory on Monday night.
