Stay updated with the best odds and predictions for the Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football. Don’t miss out on the action!
There is no false excitement for Thursday Night Football this week. The most anticipated game in all of Week 10 might just be the Baltimore Ravens hosting the Cincinnati Bengals. Baltimore is coming off another very impressive win, but the Ravens are still sitting a half-game behind the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North standings. As for Cincinnati, the Bengals are still attempting to move over .500. They are still favored to make the playoffs, but Cincy really needs to start putting some games in the win column with the 2024 NFL season more than halfway over at this point.
Week 10 Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens
Cincinnati Bengals +6
Baltimore Ravens -6
Total 52.5
We’ve only seen a small amount of line movement in this game so far. Baltimore originally opened as a 6.5-point favorite per the NFL betting odds, so there has been a little bit of action on Cincinnati. The total has risen quite a bit though from where we saw it in the look ahead lines. The original over/under was set at 50, so we are seeing some serious movement on the over.
Cincinnati Bengals Overview
Joe Burrow is having an excellent year under center for the Bengals despite his team’s struggles. Burrow is completing 70.2% of his passes for 2,244 yards (7.4 YPA) with 20 touchdowns against four interceptions. He has been one of the top performing quarterbacks in the league to this point of the season although Jamarr Chase has been very much boom or bust.
Chase had monster performances against both Washington and Baltimore earlier this year, but he has not been the big play threat we are used to seeing for the Bengals. Over Cincinnati’s last four games, the star receiver has been targeted 34 times and has 26 receptions for just 224 yards. That’s under 9.0 YPR for the three-time Pro Bowl receiver, and it has led to Cincy’s offense stalling out often.
Second year running back Chase Brown was completely shut down by Cleveland and Philadelphia, but he was pretty good on Sunday against Las Vegas. Brown is averaging 4.6 YPC this season, and the Bengals are helping him out by acquiring Khalil Herbert from Chicago in a trade on Tuesday morning. Cincinnati only needed to surrender a seventh-round pick to acquire Herbert, and he will give his new team some depth and another option out of the backfield.
Cincinnati is below average defensively despite having decent yards per play numbers. The Bengals have not been able to get to opposing quarterbacks often aside from standout pass rusher Trey Hendrickson. While Hendrickson has 11 sacks to his name through nine games, the rest of the Cincinnati defense has just six sacks total.
Baltimore Ravens Overview
Lamar Jackson is without question the NFL MVP favorite yet again. The two-time league MVP is looking to become just the seventh player to win the award three times. Jackson is the most exciting player in the league due to his run-pass dynamic, and he currently is completing 68.2% of his passes for 2,379 yards (9.3 YPA) with 20 touchdowns against two interceptions while also running for 505 yards (6.0 YPR) and two touchdowns.
The offseason decision to add Derrick Henry is looking quite inspired. Henry is by far the league’s top running back to this point with 1,052 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. King Henry is averaging 6.3 YPC for Baltimore, and that has the Ravens averaging a whopping 5.9 YPC.
If Baltimore’s defense can live up to its talent, the Ravens are the team to beat in the AFC. The front seven has been excellent against the run and is allowing just 3.4 YPC and 75.7 YPG, leading the league in both categories. Unfortunately, the secondary has been abysmal and is surrendering an NFL worst 280.9 YPG through the air.
Thursday Night Football Prediction
We saw a lot of points in the first game between these two teams, and I believe that will be the case again. Burrow will keep Cincinnati in the game and could pull off an upset after almost leading the Bengals to a win over the Baltimore Ravens back in Week 5.
Final Score: Baltimore 30, Cincinnati 27
