On Thursday night, the Milwaukee Bucks will host the Miami Heat.  Mich like the Bucks, the Heat have lost their dominance.  When Doc Rivers took over from rookie head coach Adrian Griffin, the Bucks were 32-14 and rolling.  But Griffin was thought not to have the gravitas to produce a championship.  Those moves beg the question as to why he was hired in the first place.  Since Rivers took over, Milwaukee has gone 40-36.  Of great concern is the poor board value that the Bucks have offered since Rivers took over.

The fall of the Bucks has been stunning. Not that long ago, Milwaukee was the best value on the board despite the fact that they draw massive amounts of public support.  Milwaukee never should have fired head coach Mike Budenholzer, who led them to the 2021 NBA championship.  Giannis said as much.  But the hiring of Doc Rivers is proving to be an even bigger mistake.  Rivers has not accomplished much since his time with the Boston Celtics well over a decade ago.  The Bucks also suffer From Damian Lillard’s lack of defensive commitment.
