Sunday MLB Parlay Picks

Boston Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox visit the Kansas City Royals on Sunday and it should be Chris Sale going for Boston, while Kansas City sends Zack Greinke. The Red Sox have almost fallen out of the Wild Card race, so every win is critical if they are to have any chance. They face a Kansas City team that is still playing hard, but the Royals don’t have much pitching. And that is definitely the case in this game, as Greinke is through. He is 1-13 with a 5.28 ERA. That is what you get when you sign a pitcher who quit on your team before and is quitting on them again. I’ll take the Red Sox as the first team in the parlay.

Toronto Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays get the benefit of playing in Colorado this weekend and on Sunday it should be Kevin Gausman getting the start, while the Rockies go with Austin Gomber. This should be a mismatch, as Gausman comes into this game with a record of 10-8 and a 3.30 ERA, while Gomber is 9-9 with a 5.50 ERA. It doesn’t matter to me who the Rockies throw, as this is a play on Gausman and the Blue Jays as the second team in the parlay.

Arizona Diamondbacks

The Baltimore Orioles visit the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday and it should be Jack Flaherty going for Baltimore, while Arizona sends Zac Gallen. Flaherty is 8-8 on the season with a 4.73 ERA. Gallen has been really good for Arizona with a 14-6 record and a 3.32 ERA. I’ll take Arizona as the last team in the parlay.

Pirates-Cardinals Over

The Pittsburgh Pirates visit the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday and the pitching matchup is not a good one. Neither Johan Oviedo nor Adam Wainwright has been that effective. Oviedo is 8-13 with a 4.20 ERA, while Wainwright is 3-10 with an 8.10 ERA. It is hard to see either of these starting pitchers lasting long, so it should end up as a battle of the bullpens. I’ll go with the Pirates and Cardinals over as the first game in the totals parlay.

Red Sox-Royals Over

I mentioned the Red Sox-Royals game earlier and it looks like it should be a high scoring game. Sale hasn’t been anything special for the Red Sox this season. He is just 5-3 with a 4.75 ERA. I noted earlier has bad Greinke has been for the Royals this season. I’ll go over the total with the Red Sox and Royals as the final game in the totals parlay.
